Description
DSP. A very tough to find Circa 1920's Sign from Shell Gasoline & Motor Oils. Sign shows, "AIR" in bold script across the fields of each side and was displayed on an early Service Station Air Pump. CONDITION: Side one shows excellent color & gloss throughout the field with excellent shelving between the colors. Side one shows approximately ten pencil eraser sized chips in the field as well as some minor chipping along the left edge. Although side one shows some chipping it is bright and displays very well, Grade 8.0+. Side two also shows excellent color and gloss throughout with approximately twelve smaller sized chips in the field with some lighter outer edge wear. Side two shows excellent color and although chipped displays excellent, Grade 8.0+. Although the piece is not perfect it displays very well with bright colors and is a scarce and early piece of Porcelain Shell Signage. Condition: (8.0+). Dimensions: 12" X 11".
