An absolutely stunning and eye-appealing example of this die cut Porcelain Circa 1930's Service Station Sign from Beacon Gasoline, one of the most highly sought after and unique signs in all of early American Gas & Oil Advertising. This particular version is advertising Beacon's "Security Gasoline", a product of the Caminol Company, Los Angeles, California. Sign features a very unique and eye catching die-cut Porcelain Lighthouse shape showing waves crashing at the bottom as well as lights flashing into the distance at the top side with unique red, yellow and blue glossy Porcelain. CONDITION: Sign shows outstanding color and gloss throughout the field showing clean Beacon lettering as well as an excellent die-cut lighthouse graphic. Sign shows some minor areas of stress lines in the "A" of Beacon as well as a few minor surface scratches in the Lighthouse graphic but nothing of note. Sign shows some moderate scratches in the gloss of the blue in the lower field near the lettering but overall not overly distracting. Sign shows very minimal chipping at the top edge as well as light chipping at the mounting holes of the left and the right side. Sign shows an extremely clean outer edge near the waves as well as bottom portion and overall displays extremely clean. This is one of the finest examples of this Sign we have seen or sold as well as one of the most sought-after signs in all of Gas & Oil advertising.
