Condition
In overall fine and stable condition. Fitted with a central long drawer, over two cupboard doors and flanked by a cupboard door to each side simulating a stack of two drawers. Appears to retain the original lock mechanisms, though no key present. Retaining a fairly even, early refinished surface with rich figuring to the drawer and cupboard fronts. Old scuffs, marks and scratches consistent with age and use. Few age cracks visible throughout. Some areas of lifting and light splitting the the veneer on the cupboard doors. Few veneer patches visible, but mostly to the edge of the top. Drawer pulls, while seemingly of the period, are likely replaced as there is evidence of other fittings visible from the inside of the drawers and cupboards. Some later boards added to the underside of the top to help secure it. There is a 1" x 6" patch long the bottom edge of the proper left side of the case. A couple of the bottom boards to one side are seemingly early replacements. Secondary wood: yellow pine
