Eugene Farcot, French, 1830-1896. A 19th century Figural clock with Farcot's Patented Conical pendulum. 8-day time and strike movement with Gilded dial and Roman numerals, engine turned bezel, adjustable Brass and Steel pendulum with Gilded Bronze mounts and Brass sphere, rear plate with "Eagle" trademark, serial #70587. White Alabaster case surmounted by a Classical draped Spelter figure of a Danaides with vase, on a base with Gilded Bronze mounts and incised carvings with Gold inlay, all on flared floriform bracket feet. Some surface wear, Alabaster with small edge flakes, running when cataloged. 35 1/2" high.
