Brass and iron, original lacquered or black japanned, adjustable front wheel, brass ball with nozzle, 2 1/3 in., adjustable in angle, scarffor burner (petroleum or candle). Overall dimensions 7 4/5 x 4 1/3 x 6 in., untested. -Heron of Alexandria invented the steam-powered spinning ball (Heron's ball) around 100 AD. This tricycle is driven by recoil according to this basic principle.
