HEPPLEWHITE TILT-TOP CANDLESTAND
Probably Newburyport, Massachusetts, Late 18th Century
In mahogany, with an oval top, leaf-carved pedestal and three arch-carved legs ending in well-shaped spade feet. According to the consignor, the table belonged to the John James Currier family of Newburyport.
Height 29.27". Height when tipped 42". Top 23" x 14.5".

Repairs made to the area where the legs meet the shaft and to one of the spade feet. Refinished.
