Six sets of cups and saucers, four with scene “Landing of General Lafayette at Castle Garden New York, 16 August 1824”. Stamped on base Staffordshire, Clews, Warranted. Made by James and Ralph Clews, England, ca. 1825-1830. Two with scene of Lafayette at Franklin’s Tomb, stamped E. Wood & Sons, Burslem. Made by Enoch Wood & Sons, England, ca. 1924.

chip to edge of one “Landing” cup, saucers with scuffing.
