Unexamined out of the frame. The painting is in good condition for its age; there is a very small loss in the upper left area of the sky and some fairly small losses below the line of the frame in the lower right corner. It has an old glue relining and it is possible to see retouching round the edges approximately an inch in from the frame where the lines probably caused by an old stretcher have been retouched. Under ultra violet light; an opaque varnish makes it difficult to read with UV but there appears to be some older retouch along the edges.
