BENJAMIN LEWIS VULLIAMY, LONDON. N0. 1459. A RARE WOODEN DIAL FUSEE RAILWAY CLOCK the figured mahogany drop-box case with chisel base and moulded surround with locking cast brass bezel enclosing a 12" painted wood dial with Roman numerals fronting a signed and numbered eight-day fusee movement with deadbeat escapement and original numbered brass bob pendulum with steel rods, the back box with an ivorine plaque to the side inscribed 'G.W.R. 1906' - there are only three other examples known, one being in the GWR museum in Swindon, the other two in private collections, one of the examples is illustrated in Railway Clocks, by Ian P. Lyman fig. 3.91 (62cm high 40cm wide)
