Kanduri Embroidered Textile With Applique, India, Early 20th C. Shrine cloth offered to the shrine of Salar Masud, Uttar Pradesh. Kanduri iconography often features a palace/temple, a wagon drawn by horses or bulls, and many armed men both mounted and afoot, often with wide borders with people and trees.
