Haebler's most famous work in its English translation, comprising what remains, even one hundred years after publication, one of the most important works on and collection of true incunabula leaves. Samples are pulled from the presses of such important early centers of print as Basel, Leipzig, Venice, Delft, Paris, London, and many more. Many include early woodcuts or are illustrated with illuminated capitals in imitation of the earlier and contemporary manuscript production which they were beginning to displace.

Cloth cases somewhat frayed, foxed, lightly soiled, with some slight repairs to cloth; touch of soiling to wrappers of text volumes and occasional smudges to mats; two mats with small closed tears, one leaf loose in matting; leaves generally in good condition with expected light soiling, edgewear and toning, and in a few cases paper repairs; altogether very good.
