尚均即是周尚均，名彬，是清康熙時期福建漳州人，是名重一時的宮廷雕刻大師，與同時期的楊玉璇雙峰並峻，其中不少優秀作品多為清宮所藏，所雕刻的作品藝術價值和歷史價值頗高，備受藏家青睞喜愛。此羅漢以壽山石為材，材質緻密溫潤，立體圓雕，面頰豐滿，光頂壽額，眉眼細長，神態安逸肅穆，身著寬鬆法衣，腰繫錦帶，手持蒲扇，呈悠閒坐姿靠坐，造型寫實傳神、氣韻生動，同時細部處理亦為精美絕倫，如衣褶、衣擺及領口，雖薄如片紙卻極具立體感，可謂極工盡致不遺餘力，背後施刀鏨刻尚均二字，字體清秀，運刀流暢犀利，筆鋒強勁，器物所雕衣帶飄逸極富動感，將一代高僧修行入定之無我境界刻畫得淋漓盡致，體現了作者高超的藝術造型能力和精湛的表現技藝，為一件不可多得之壽山石雕精品。
