Condition
Unexamined out of frame.
The canvas has been relined. The paint surface is relatively clean.
In strong light it is just possible to see discoloured infilling to the craquelure of the foliage, centre left.
Inspection under UV light reveals: strengthening and infillings throughout the sky, particularly the upper section; a narrow band of restoration to both vertical edges; scattered infillings to the foliage and rocks; a vertical line of restoration approx. 10 cm long to the foliage, lower left; retouching to the foliage around the seated figure, lower left; an area of restoration, approx. 2 x 2cm, to the foliage, lower left; and further scattered minor infillings.
