Kee Chiu (Big Brother Chiu) family were importers of Chinese Goods and wholesale Commodities to The Chinese community and Americans. Being considered as a leader in the community and being an astute business person, brought him wealth and a place in society that allowed him access to the political elite. His capabilities allowed him to bring in highly collectable items from his home country. His collection was extensive and of the finest quality. Items from his collection are part of this auction.

Chinese Qing Dynasty Yongzheng Blue White and Red Dragon Porcelain Celestial Vase. The porcelain potted in shape vase, thick and tall and large, globular lower body gently tapered toward the straight cylindrical neck, raised on a slightly concave foot base. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in blue and red fine color which contrast against clean white underglaze ground, depicted of imperial five claws dragon flying careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-shui waves. The glaze has smooth texture and moisturizing, attracting unceasingly admiration.The Neck bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Yongzheng Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
