James Gibson (1938-2017) Vintage Highwaymen painting of a Florida black & yellow landscape scene with palm tree and flying birds. James Gibson would often paint with a minimal color palette which helped him to paint quicker to sell more paintings. Paintings of this time frame had colors of yellows, reds, blues, and greens which matched much of the "unusual" era interior colors and decor of houses. Signed middle right side. This painting was purchased by original owner directly from James Gibson in the late 1960's/early 1970's. Measures approximately 20" x 12" on upson board & 22" x 13.75" w/ frame.
