For sale is a copy of "Elbert Hubbard's Scrapbook" by Elbert Hubbard, the founder and leader of the Roycrofters, an organized enterprise of craftsmen and women based in East Aurora, NY. Elbert Hubbard and the various products produced by this group were central to the Arts and Crafts movement, and intended to preserve the skills and perceived value of true craft work.; This was printed by Wm. Wise and Co. on high quality paper in 1928 and bound as seen in attached pics. The cover has wear as indicated. It is paper bonded to cloth, as can be seen in the bottom right corner of the front cover and along the edges in various spots. The pics do a great job of describing the condition of the book.; The pages are in very good condition except for some spots that seem to be from liquid and only on the first four pages. The photos of the pages are representative of the quality. All of the pages are bound together with a strip of cloth just as in a "scrapbook" of the time. It is all holding together well.; This was priced at $145.00 in a bookstore at one time according to the penciled price on the second blank page.
