TP Lot will be moved to an offsite storage location (Cadogan Tate, Auction House Services, 241 Acton Lane, London NW10 7NP, UK) and will only be available for collection from this location at the date stated in the catalogue. Condition
In good decorative condition commensurate with age and use.
The bronze figure with some minor rubbing and wear to the extremities - the patination with some slight dulling and with dust and dirt to the crevices.
There are a few minute chips to the extremities of the case and a tiny chip to the moulding below the dial on the right hand side as you look at the clock but this is hardly noticeable. The dial appears to be in good condition with a few tiny spots but the painted signature of the maker or retailer is now very faded. There is a small vertical scratch to the glass of the door. The movement is a little dulled and dirty with some tarnishing and spotting to the backplate. When the pendulum is set in motion the movement appears to be going and ticking but it is not tested or guaranteed. The clock strikes the bell for the half hour and also for the hour but here the mechanism is out of sync and needs attention. There is no key for the movement but one would be easily obtained.
