A German 17th century cast-iron strong box
With a typical elaborate locking mechanism, the hinged lid enclosing a lockable hinged lidded compartment to one end of the base, with a handle to each side, 91cm wide x 46cm deep x 44cm high, (35 1/2in wide x 18in deep x 17in high)

The condition of the interior and exterior paint and corrosion are commensurate with age, however the lock mechanism is missing its decorative backplate.
