salt-glazed, approximately two-gallon capacity, ovoid wide-mouth form with slightly flared plain rim, light double incised shoulder rings, applied arched handles, and Albany-slip glazed interior. Brushed cobalt triple spitting tulip decoration with additional cobalt over stamp. 1840-1850. 12 5/8" HOA, 8 1/4" D rim.
Provenance: From the Eddie Tatum estate collection, Winston-Salem, NC.

Condition

Having moderate imperfections including a rim crack with an approximately 4" x 2" loose rim piece, and white residue to interior.
