Description
TWO NINETEENTH CENTURY BEADWORK SASHES, STEEL SEWING CLAMPS, AND YADS
Both sashes are North American, one beaded with "L. Carrie Brackman; Born March 28th, 1860", the other "Allen" with chevron and arrow designs. Mounted behind glass, lacquered wooden frame (both approximately 20" in beaded length); together with two likely German, 19th-century "third-hand" sewing clamps with pincushion heads; and two early 20th century yads or Torah pointers with brass pendant bodies with elaborate silver overlay, one with small turquoise cabochon decoration, the other with four graduating, teardrop-shaped carnelians to the topside.
