AN ENGLISH PEWTER FLAGON BY JOHN EMES THE ELDER, CIRCA 1680
London, England, fourth quarter 17th century. Beefeater type flagon having stepped cover with knop and twin-cusp thumbpiece, a hammered drum terminating in a Charles 1st style skirted base, touchmark to handle (O.P.1566), incised scratched owner mark for "Kirby Fleetham Church" underfoot.
