Description
Beautiful John Emes, London (English, 1762-1810) antique Georgian Regency triple ink well. Featuring cut boarder of foliage around raised platform running length of the stand, three circular stands on platform, each retaining a crystal jar with silver rim at top and removable cap. Made as a gift to Henry Murray from Princess Amelia in 1809. Signed with English silver hallmarks and engraved message on bottom of stand and on each jar cap. Total weight is 186.8 grams excluding the crystal inserts.
