each featuring a serene English countryside scene depicting figures in boats, an arched bridge and cottage, and a church-like structure and sheep on hill in background, with a rose floral border, comprising nine with blue transfer including six plates, two soup plates, and a saucer, and two with brown/sepia transfer including a small dish and an 8 3/4" D plate. Marks to underside include printed ribbon with "WILD ROSE / S M & Co", a royal coat of arms with "WILD ROSE" above and "MANN & CO / HANLEY" below, a crown with flowers having "STONE / WARE" to interior and "WILD ROSE" inscribed to ribbon, a garter with "WILD ROSE" to interior and "S & Co" below, and impressed "SEWELL", "MOORE & Co", and "6". Samuel Moore & Co., Sunderland; Mann & Co., Hanley; Sewell & Co., Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Northumberland, England; Staffordshire and other areas. 19th century. 1" HOA; plates 5 3/4" to 10 1/8" D.

Six undamaged, except some having minor wear and/or crazing; saucer having minor rim flake, possibly as made; four plates having faint rim hairline primarily visible to underside due decoration.
