c. 1890, Lithograph Color Poster for "The Mascot", by Otis Lithograph Co., Cleveland, Choice Extremely Fine.
This colorful Black History related Lithograph Poster that measures about 20.75" x 27.75". Title text reads "Al. G. Field / Greater Minstrels". Inset image of "Wm O'Brien" at upper right. Central image of a blackfaced man dressed as a young girl. Lower text block on paper laid on the bottom left reads: "The Mascot," covering what was the original poster text: "Wm. O'Brien / The Dance Producer", maybe done as a cost saving move so they didn't have to have new posters reprinted. Paper poster is laid on heavy cardstock for support and display.
