Description
Billy Ray Hussey (b1951) is so skillful in the variety of forms, styles of folk pottery, and glazing. This pot appears to be salt glaze, but it was dipped in an initial glaze for this impressive dripping effect. Such a great variety is the reason the only Southern potter that has been included in International Folk Art Market (IFAM), held every summer in Santa Fe, NM (2019 was when Billy & Susan Hussey were invited for the first time; sometime will return). Signed on bottom, numbered kiln 54- Height 9" x Width 9".
