Description
Portique Clock Signed Piolaine, Paris First Quarter 19th Century. Gilt bronze figure above clock of Athena holding shield with Medusa mask. This clock has marble base and finials with gilt bronze decoration. Base of columns have gilt bronze coat of arms decoration. A stunning clock measuring 52 3/8" high X 15 1/4" wide X 6 1/8" deep. Condition - Overall good condition. Some staining to marble and missing small column decoration from back of finial at top. The large gilt or plated columns could possibly be a later addition. This clock was not tested and Kennedy's Auction Service will not guarantee any clock to work.

Missing minute hand and one small arrow tip on base column decoration, approximately 1/2" long. The large gilt or plated columns could possibly be a later addition.
