Item Details

Description

Thomas Napier Tall Case Mahogany Clock C. 1800. Napier worked in Glasgow, Scotland from 1789-1803. Clock has brass time and strike movement, brass dial with applied pierced rococo scroll and silvered boss engraved "Thos Napier Glasgow" flanked by pierced rococo scroll and dolphins. The clock has a brass chapter ring with highlighted Roman numerals and Arabic numeral second indicators. Upper portion of dial has a seconds dial with hand. This clock has a broken pediment and arch top with fluted Doric columns. Measures 94" high X 21 1/4" wide X 9 3/4" deep. Condition- Clock comes with key. Works condition unknown. Has some veneer chips and raised veneer. One cable pulley is missing. See photos.
