For your consideration is a marvelous lithograph titled Grand Pichet au Gueridon Rouge, with an annotation 208/300, and hand signed in pencil by French artist Marcel Mouly. This lithograph was acquired from a curator and gallery owner from Los Angeles with a collection of artworks ranging from Barry McGee to Picasso. Dimensions: 19.75h x 16.75w (framed). In excellent condition. Marcel Mouly (1918 - 2008) was active/lived in France and he was known for modernist landscape and genre paintings. Mouly was heavily influenced by the work of Picasso, Matisse and Braque. Mouly was known as the last living student of Pablo Picasso. He is acknowledged as one of the most outstanding contemporary artists of our century, whose unique style is immediately recognized around the world. His work is housed in the permanent collections of over 20 museums, including the Museum of Modern Art in Paris, the Museum of Modern Art in Japan, Museum of Modern Art in Helsinki, the Museum of Geneva, and the Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris. Numerous books have been written about Mouly.
