Description
1910, FRANCE: Reglisse D'avignon is a French candy (pastilles) company, and this is a motion advertising display for their company. Showing a large example of one of their candy tins in the middle, flanked by two automata, what appear to be two young girls, one dressed in a sailor suit and one in costume as an old man. Motion include the spinning oy the replica tin in the middle, movements of the automata are head movements, arms lifting and bodies turning. Wood constructed base, composition figures with glass eyes. CONSIDERATIONS: Showing minor wear to the figures, some staining to the replica tin, but nothing to distract from the overall appearance. The wood base is solid, and the internal components - though dated - are complete and working. A new belt for the motor that turns the tin would help a lot. This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made. Condition: (Very Good). Dimensions: 31 - 3/4" x 15 - 3/4" x 35 - 1/2".
