Mettlach Villeroy and Boch ceramic pottery blue jasperware / pate-sur-pate / phanolith charger decorated with a Neoclassical Roman scene of a seated woman with eight attendants above an anthemion border, signed "J. Stahl" for Johann Baptist Stahl (German, 1869-1932) lower left and dated "'06" lower right, struck with impressed maker's mark "2443 / 9 / 99" to reverse. One small loss to arm of a female attendant. 18.25" diameter.
