Signed letter from the composer, conductor, pianist, and violinist, Richard Georg Strauss (German 1864-1949), dated September 5th, 1905, and discussing, in part, a potential concert in Lyon, France for the following March with the Kain orchestra for a fee of 1,500 marks, framed together with a portrait lithograph originally published by Kunstanstalt Stengel & Co., Dresden, translation en verso. Provenance: Likely originally acquired from B. Altman & Co., NY. Note: This item has been certified by James Spence Authentication. Certificate available upon request. Sight approx. h. 6.75", w. 4.5" (letter); Overall h. 14", w. 18.75", d. 1.2".
Condition
The letter originally folded, toning to paper, holes to translation, not examined out of frame.
