COMPANION CHINESE BOWLS
China, early 20th century, porcelain. Two (2) bowls with polychrome enamel decoration. The first plate with Changhua mark and export wax seal to underside exemplifies a Japanese influence (Kakiemon); the second bowl with phoenix to well surrounded by other birds and florals, contains a Qianlong mark to underside, but later Chinese republic period.
9 1/2 in. diameter (24.13 cm.)
