Description
Chinese blue and white paneled Meiping lidded urn, possibly 18th century, likely originally part of a garniture set, having a pear form finial above an octagonal lid, surmounting a short neck with diapering, the body decorated with a scenes of a boy and his mother enjoying a landscape of plantain, rockwork, prunus, and orchids, with no apparent mark, retaining a Moog label. Provenance: From an estate in Ponte Vedra, FL; acquired February 24, 2004 from Henry Moog, Atlanta, GA. Approx. h. 12.5".
Condition
Overall good. (2) 1/32" chips to the glaze, one at the neck and one on the body. No other chips, cracks or losses noted.
