Description

Provincial Louis XV-Style Oak Tall Case Clock

the enameled and brass face in a case with cornucopia, grape and dove carving, on a base with an oval panel with like carving, the door with a circular glass panel, on a plinth base.
h. 94", w. 20", d. 10"

Condition

**In "as found" condition. The left window glass of the hood is loose and needs to be re-glazed. Minor dings to the case. Old shrinkage cracks from age. The porcelain dial has a small flake near the lower edge and some hairlines. The brass outer frame is slightly bent in areas but can be carefully straightened out. The pendulum rod is broken but present. Two weights present. Lacking winding key.
