Description
Elvis Presley's Faux Tiger Tooth Gold Tone Necklace From a Fan Gifted to Mary Sumner W/LOA From Shirley Sumner and Letter From Priscilla Presley - This gold tone necklace with faux tiger tooth was a gift to Elvis Presley from an adoring fan. Elvis deeply cared for his fans and the for him in return. He interacted them like no other entertainer, and they would often bring gifts for him to his concerts hoping to get close enough to give them to him personally. This unique pendant was one of those gifts, given to Elvis from a fan in the 1970s. The pendant has a hinged design with a small hidden compartment to secretly carry something only known to you. The claw necklaces were a popular style that Elvis would wear during the 1970s. Please see reference photo of Elvis wearing a similar in style necklace. Elvis eventually gave this piece to Mary Sumner, the wife of Memphis Mafia member J.D. Sumner. The necklace will come with a letter of authenticity from J.D. and Mary's daughter, Shirley Sumner Enoch. The lot also includes a letter from Priscilla Presley.
