Circa 5th century A.D. A lead-alloy button of sub-circular form, decorated with a central openwork cross and six crosses around the face. 6.32 grams, 20 mm (3/4 in.). Acquired in Jerusalem, Israel, in the 1980s. From the collection of Ibrahim Kara with reference number 113. Property of an Essex gentleman. Accompanied by a copy of a typed cataloguing slip.
