DESCRIPTION: Thangka depicting Vajrabhairava wearing a wrathful deities crown, clutching a variety of weaponry in his numerous hands, and standing in the left-leg-straightened posture as he mates with another figure. Vajrabhairava is surrounded by a variety of other fierce Buddhist deities, some of which are seated, standing, or riding an animal atop a lotus throne and three of which are seated and haloed above him. Secondary deities are adorned and/or accompanied with a variety of attributes. Painting proper is framed within a hanging silk scroll finished with medallion, dragon, floral, and foliage patterns.
