(Hydria - water pot - wearer), formed as a standing female figure dressed in a chiton, one hand held by her side, the other steadying the hydria on her head; hollow-formed; mounted on a custom-made display stand. One of the most representative terracotta figurines offered as gifts in the Greek sanctuaries are the ones of Hydriaphorai (Hydria-wearers).
