Description
The conscience was a pottery of Languedoc and France. It would be filled with oil or water for transport. With handles so rope could carry the conscience along a horse's side. A rare, petite green conscience with flames of hues of green made in kiln from glaze puddles, including one yellow flame that crosses the side. Dimensions: H 12" x W 8" x D 6" Condition: Old chips, glaze losses, scratches, crazing. Wear consistent with age and use.

All the items in this auction remain at our Gallery in Norwalk, CT for pickup or shipping. Items must be picked up in the time frame of Monday, August 1st - Friday, August 12th, WEEKDAYS ONLY, 9-5.
