If you are looking for an Original Printing Rick Griffin poster that has it all, this one is for you. Though the show in the design is dated 1968, Griffin made this poster years later in 1972 as a commemorative piece.

Gordon McClelland, Rick Griffin's former partner & Publisher at California Graphix Exchange, states that the original Captain Beefheart concert at Crawford Hall had been canceled. Gordon also notes that California Graphix Exchange only printed a total of 1,000 copies of this poster, which includes both the white paper and light yellow paper versions.

Rick's artwork primarily comprised of a page he originally created for ZAP Comix. Another 9.8 CGC example of this poster sold in November 2020 for $1,320.00 in our auction.
