Beautiful and imposing sculpture group by Edouard Drouot (1859 - 1945), depicting two German shepherd dogs. The statue is signed.
The sculpture group stands on a beautiful marble green base.
Edouard Drouot was born in Sommevoire in 1859 and studied in Paris under Mathurin Moreau and Emile Eugène Thomas (1817-1882) as a sculptor. In his sculptural work, especially Drouot's portrait busts, he is known for allegorical themes, hunting scenes and North African issues.
He won a medal at "the Salon of 1892" and received an honorable mention at the Exposition-Universelle of 1900
