Antique bronze statue of a hunter and his dog. American or European, ca. late 19th century. Executed in the Neoclassical / Academic style. A draped young man (Actaeon?) leans up against a fountain and looks down at his dog, who sits at his feet with a dead bird. The base is connected to the statue itself. The base includes legs with the faces of men or gods, lions, and palmettes. Two feet are lion's paws. Possibly a clock topper statuette. The dog is separately connected to the base and wobbles slightly. Some copper color finish on much of the base, and partially remaining on statue.
