Description
Zisha teapot is a traditional Chinese teapot, which is said to have originated from the Song Dynasty to the Ming Dynasty Wuzong Zhengde Period. The material for making the purple sand teapot is Yixing purple sand ore soil, which is a sedimentary rock. Because it is produced in Yixing, Jiangsu, it is also called Yixing Zisha. The Zisha teapot has a special double pore structure due to mud ore and kiln firing (reduction firing), which can fully ventilate to produce active conversion of water quality and change the tea aroma and tea flavor. Different from the new ones fired in electric kilns and gas kilns, the old Zisha teapots are completely different from the new ones fired in electric kilns and gas kilns. The patina and luster of the pots are gradually changed by the pot itself, without the need to apply tea.
