Description

Lot of four small photographs, two of which depict three Russian men publicly hanged from trees with their crimes written on boards suspended from their necks: '...Punished by hanging for disarming and shooting an OD [police] man...' and for theft of gold and official passes. The third photo shows another man hanged, apparently for political reasons, and the fourth photograph shows two surrendered men under guard by two armed Germans. Four pieces.
