CUT-OVERLAY PUNTY, OVALS AND PANELS KEOROSENE STAND LAMP, deep olive green to colorless pyriform font, raised on a brass reeded standard and double-step marble base with stamped brass ornamentation, wafer construction, brass connector and No. 2 fine line collar. Probably Mt. Washington Glass Co. Third quarter 19th century. 12 1/2" H to top of collar, 4 3/8" SQ foot.
Literature: Font parallels Thuro II, p. 60j; shape as Wilson - Mt. Washington, p. 57, fig. 3-15. Base as Thuro II, p. 49t.
Provenance: The Michael Carter Collection, Hanover, PA.
Condition
Excellent condition, font undamaged and with several scattered as-made manufacturing imperfections including bubbles, marble steps with normal as-made minute flakes/roughness.
