Description
This lot includes Staffordshire jug is in the form of the famous “Punch” figure. The base is impressed with a patent number. SIZE: Approx. 9-3/4” h. 2) Staffordshire Toby jug depicts a Colonial figure with tri-corn hat. He wears a red coat. SIZE: Approx. 7-1/2” h. 3) Early Rockingham-style handled toby pitcher is in the form of a large lady wearing a dress and holding a vessel in each hand. SIZE: Approx. 8” h. Base 4-1/2” dia. 4) Figural Staffordshire toby-style pitcher in the form of “Judy.” Punch and Judy were two very famous comical characters that originated sometime in the 18th century in England. This Staffordshire pitcher is molded in the form of Judy and hand painted. The underside is marked with a registration mark “RDN0139844”. There are no other manufacturer’s marks. This dates to the 19th century. SIZE: Approx. 10" h x approx 5" across base. 5) Staffordshire porcelain back depicts a beautiful rotund lady in a pink and blue floral top with brown skirt and light green apron. SIZE: 10-3/4” h x approx. 6-3/4” dia. 6) A porcelain figural teapot depicting a woman with aqua scarf form handle, her head is the lid. Holding a milk jug, an umbrella and satchel over her left arm. Stenciled German markings beneath the base in over glaze orange. SIZE: 10-3/4” h.
