⁂ Hasegawa's only two collaborations with Camus. Both works resulted in a degree of conflict between the two men, the consequence of Camus' over-exacting standards and expectations and Hasegawa's prolonged process of production. Nevertheless the first title ran to three editions with further editions of the second planned that never materialised. These titles were also published on plain paper in the United States (a substantially inferior edition).
