[Locke (John)] A Letter Concerning Toleration, second edition, 6pp. advertisements, light surface soiling to title, for Awnsham Churchill, 1690 bound with A Second Letter concerning Toleration, first edition, half-title with advertisement to verso, for Awnsham and John Churchill, 1690 and A Third Letter for Toleration, first edition, half-title, with final errata/ advertisement f. (with chip to inner margin affecting 2 or 3 letters), for Awnsham and John Churchill, 1692, together 3 works in 1 vol., occasional spotting or light soiling, ink ownership inscriptions to front pastedown, near- contemporary panelled calf, lower joint cracked, upper joint repaired, later printed label to spine, some wear to corners, [Wing L2748, L2755 & L2765; Yolton 4, 25 & 27], 4to.

⁂ A complete set of Locke's pleas and arguments in favour of religious toleration, written in the wake of the Edict of Nantes. Rare to find all three letters together in this manner.
