19th century German silver commemorative chalice or goblet with foot engraved in German "fur erinnerung an" translating to 'for memory of' and on foot rim, many names including Kirchhoff, Muller, Grause, Dommes, Newburg. Goblet is also hallmarked for Stade Guild (key in an oval), Lower Saxony. The maker was recorded by Clasen: Stader Silber, as Carl (Ernst) Georg Ferdinand Schma(h)lfeld(t). Approx. height 8.25 in., weight 11.2 ounces. Note: This goblet has tested over 900 silver content.
