Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Beijing Yellow Glass Trinket Box. The Glass carved in circular form, correspondence dome lid and there is a tongue at the outer rims for fitting the lid. The interior, exterior are both covered in yellow base color and carved with magpie birds hanging on the sturdy brand with flowers bloom and scrolling interlocking tendril. Peking glass originated in 18th century China during the rule of the Qing Dynasty. Historically, many pieces of Peking glass were made with yellow glass dubbed Imperial Yellow, due to the colors strong association with the Qing Imperial. It is outstanding in terms of artistic aesthetics and collection value.The Under - base bears a reign mark, a four carved seal script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
